The topic of conversation was how long it takes for young actors to accept roles and how social media affects this process.

KWK Season 8: Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, hosts of Koffee With Karan, were talking about how the industry used to be very close-knit and connected when Karan Johar asked them to provide their opinions on the new generation of Bollywood actors.

Karan Johar questioned, “What do you think about the younger generation of actors? Do you think they have that fighting spirit?” about the same problem.

Rohit replied, I think they need too much validation from people they do not know on social media. They are very insecure; I do not know why, but maybe they have their own thing because they were born in this generation.

Karan said, I mean, I am not saying that this is sacrosanct, but I think they go on their instinct.” Karan continued. “”I love that when you go to Ajay, Shah Rukh, Salman, and Akshay, they will eventually say, ‘Mujhe 20 minutes mein kahaani bata do.’ After 20 minutes, they have an understanding of the film’s world, so you go to these younger actors today.”

I am not saying they are wrong,” he said, “but with the older generation of actors, you get that response immediately. They want to “ghuso” into every scene and dialogue, and they want a detailed narration, and then they take too long to get back to you, and you are waiting.”

KWK Season 8: Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty discuss how they handle failures.

The actors from Singham responded, “When you have been working for so many years, I would say one film’s failure does not mean you have failed. That process has failed. So that is fine. You move on.” Both celebrities have experienced their fair share of highs and lows in their lengthy careers.

When a film does not do well, it is not a good feeling at all. Rohit Shetty further revealed that after Cirkus did not do well, veteran actor Anupam Kher came to his office and gave him very beautiful advice. Rohit Shetty’s last film as a producer and director was a box office bomb.

Assuming responsibility for the film’s poor performance, Rohit revealed, “Yes, we went wrong. It was a film made during the pandemic; it was made before Sooryavanshi was released, but still, not because of that, it did not do well, but somewhere, me as a director went wrong with that film.” Karan said to Shetty, “After a point in your life when you have worked so much, it is the event that fails; it is not you.”

Days later, though, he was filming his web series. The director of Golmaal said, “It did not affect me. Once you realize you have made a mistake, you cannot be an escapist. You analyze that we should not try this again; people do not want all this from us.”
